Cine vrea sa ma acuze de “fanatism” Bon Jovi, n-are decat. Eu tot o sa promoves filmuletul asta. Despre ce e vorba? Jon Bon Jovi, Richie Sambora (chitaristul de la Bon Jovi, by the way) si un superstar iranian, Andy Madadian s-au strans intr-un studio alaturi de compozitorii Don Was si John Shanks pentru a inregistra o versiune inedita a clasicului Stand By Me, a lui Ben E King in semn de solidaritate americano-iraniana. Cum melodia este una dintre preferatele mele iar Bon Jovi…nu mai are rost sa va mai explic ce-i cu Bon Jovi, bineinteles ca am hotarat imediat ca locul ei e pe blogul meu. Nu a fost facuta cu intentia de a fi vanduta sau ceva similar, e doar un gest frumos intr-o lume in care parca numai lucruri urate se intampla uneori. Enjoy!
If you feel like accusing me of Bon Jovi fanatism, go ahead, knock yourself out. But there wasn’t going to be any way that this video would have escaped my blog. Jon Bon Jovi, Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora and Iranian superstar Andy Madadian recorded this song as a first step to American – Iranian solidarity. Being one of my favourite songs, sung by my favourite band…here it is, not for sale, not meant to be some number one hit, but to remind us we are all “as one”. Enjoy!

On June 24, Iranian Superstar Andy Madadian went into an LA recording studio with Jon Bon Jovi, Richie Sambora and American record producers Don Was and John Shanks to record a musical message of worldwide solidarity with the people of Iran. This version of the old Ben E. King classic is not for sale – it was not meant to be on the Billboard charts or even manufactured as a CD…..it’s intended to be downloaded and shared by the Iranian people…to give voice to the sentiment that all people of the world stand together….the handwritten Farsi sign in the video translates to “we are one”.
